Interactive Electrical Calculators

Calculators to calculate answers for ANY maths question for the topic areas listed below

These calculators are Microsoft Excel files (.xls) and available for either WINDOWS pc's and laptops (XP/Vista with 2003-or later microsoft Excel installed) or APPLE-MAC (Imac) desktops and laptops (OSx operating system and microsoft Excel for mac 2011 or later installed).

Calculators MUST be downloaded first and opened up in Microsoft Excel to allow you to input numbers and for the scripting and calculations to work. They will not work ‘online’ from Dropbox.

There is a FREE Demo Calculator for you to download, open in Excel and try out at the bottom of this page.

· ALSO (extra calculator for Level 3 resources for Windows ONLY): Cable Sizing using BS7671 regs book and O.S.G. Everything from inputting the power of the load at the beginning, single or 3-phase voltage (and power factor if required), Ib, selected protective device rating In, factors, It, circuit length, mV/A/m, Vdrop values, cable size and Iz, Earthing, Ze, (r1_+r2)+ correction factor , Ze, Fault current value, ‘K’ values up too the adiabatic equation at the end. Can be used to verify ANY cable calc questions.

TO CHECK COMPATIBILITY WITH YOUR PC/MAC/Tablet etc, DOWNLOAD A FREE 'DEMO' NEUTRAL CURRENT CALCULATOR BELOW.

Select the pc version if you use windows pc/laptop OR select the mac version if you use a Apple (imac, laptop, desktop or ipad)

The demo calculator is fully functional and allows you to calculate the Neutral current in an un-balanced 3-phase STAR circuit. You should be able to input THREE current values (one for each phase) into the WHITE cells and the Neutral current answer will be displayed in coloured cell and on the circuit diagram. You should NOT be able to enter/delete/change any contents of coloured cells. If this demo calculator works on your pc (or mac) - then ALL my calculators will function correctly on your system. (I welcome any feedback via email).
